I am currently enlisted. I have one visible tattoo on my tricep, this is my third application, everyone from my command down to my peers believes there’s no way I won’t get picked up. My package is in the hands of the panel now but as we all do, I’m sitting here worrying about what I could’ve done better. The thought crossed my head that I really haven’t seen many officers with visible tattoos and I’m now concerned that this will be the nail in my coffin for going Officer. Are tattoos a factor and is there anyway the selection panel would even know if I had one? Do they get your medical record?
